I have wrinkles, I have grey hair, I have back problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, I can’t remember anything, the world seems confusing and complicated to me now and I wish things were simpler (which is why I like Lemmy). I definitely don’t get kids today or their music....

& I’m doing pretty good! The wefwef app has done a great job of recreating the Apollo experience and has made it a lot easier to not want to go and download the Reddit app. The more active it gets here, the easier it’ll be. How are you guys doing so far? Have you found an App for Lemmy that you prefer the most yet?

It’s now been a few times where an older adult (maybe 50+ years old) has called me “endearing”, i always associated this term with children, but i am fully grown adult. Is there something i’m doing wrong? Why are people using a term for children for adults?...

Are sites like lemmy , reddit and discord the true successors to the old internet forums of the 2000s . or were the forums superior to todays reddit , lemmy or discord .

Curious to know, I’d heard “lemming” used in a semi derogatory way, since “a person who unthinkingly joins a mass movement, especially a headlong rush to destruction” is the dictionary definition. It seems to be the first thing to come to mind as to what you’d call a Lemmy user....

A few times in the last two or three days I heard the term “unidentified aerial phenomena”, abbreviated as “UAP”, being used by the US government and media to refer to what mere mortals used to call “UFOs”, or, better yet, “maybe aliens”....

Reddit was so combative at times, it felt like I was getting into arguments with people on there a lot. I like seeing Lemmy grow and new people join, and I just wanna enjoy it and not argue with people about stupid shit. Let’s just all have fun!

Last night I dreamt I was in a black void. I couldn’t see anything except for four white masks staring at me. Suddenly, they started screaming. It went on for some time until I finally woke up.
