The form of [email protected] is universally better because it links to a specific community (asklemmy) on a specific instance (lemmy.ml) while /c/asklemmy.ml only links to the community asklemmy.ml on whatever instance you currently are.
Which covers all the bases by including the remote URL and also the local version for both Lemmy and Kbin users, but is admittedly a massive faff. Still if it makes it easier for people, imma keep doing it.
