Is it a good (probably temporary) way to get content in Lemmy?
Can be food, tools, music, whatever comes to mind
I get time out on every single post I make and have to refresh the page, also every time I sign in.
More than just the question I want to explain a thought that led me to this topic. How often do we play?...
Would pulling the switch be a felony? Would not pulling the switch be one? Would a preservation-of-life defense hold any water?...
Like how private are they?
Like the title says! I got a Go board and stones for an early Father’s Day present, and now I’m trying to find a way to learn the game with my kids online. Any suggestions?
In my early 20s, I got tinnitus even though in the rare occasion I’m around loud noises I wear hearing protection....
To me, it was the astounding amount of interactivity between the community....
As I understood I can only count those who were subscribed from my instance but not the overall number. I do see users per month and per day but these aren’t of my interest
I had an idea that I wanted to run by people that are more familiar with lemmy and decentralized hosting. I've run it by some people I know but they don't have the familiarity with the fediverse to have it easily explained. The idea is not fully fleshed out so would love any sort of criticism or refinement this group could...
Seriously. I dont get it.
With reddit we mostly had a single subreddit for a given topic, for the sake of the question let’s use gaming. If there were alternative subreddits dedicated to the same topic, they had names that gave that away. As the title said, I’ going through the feed and new posts are adding pushing what I read down, which is annoying, is there a way to stop this?
Not sure if I’m even posting correctly but here goes. I’m pretty new to Lemmy, the whole reddit thing has just lead to me to deleting my old account and exploring new places. So far I like Lemmy and have learned how to subscribe and maneuver my way around instances and such. Also downloaded the ios beta app which I have...
it’s little annoying. is there same behavior on other web apps? i want to try them sometime but i better to know before trying them all.
Please format it like this: !community, example: !technology...
I've noticed in the explosion that we are getting duplicate communities in multiple instances. This is ultimately gonna hinder community growth as eventually communities like 'cats' will exist in hundreds of places all with their own micro groups, and some users will end up subscribing to duplicates in their list....
Apologies if this has already been asked, I’m very new here and still learning everything....
See title. I would create a community but I...
I try searching keywords and nothing comes up. I’m using Jerboa for Lenny.
