Ein -Team arbeitet aktuell gemeinsam mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen des Museums der Vojvodina und des serbischen Nationalmuseums (Zrenjanin) am spät-​lichen Fundplatz Žabalj (Nordserbien). Oberflächenfunde und frühere Untersuchungen deuten darauf hin, dass dort eine Siedlung Vinča-Kultur existiert hat. Schon jetzt hat das Team einige interessante Funde gemacht. Heute findet die Lange Nacht der Museen statt. In St. Pölten gibt es um 21h im #Stadtmuseum #StPölten auch einen Vortrag der #Stadtarchäologie über die archäologischen Tätigkeiten im vergangenen Jahr. Dabei wird auch unsere #Ausgrabung im Bischofsgarten vorgestellt.

We are currently excavating the remnants of a #cloister originally founded in the 8th century. So for this #FindsFriday, just out of the ground a marble „chalice“ block capital with traces of red paint dating to around 1200 AD
