ADHD + Depression is weird
I don’t know where the purpose of my life is. I looked where I last saw it and it isn’t there anymore. It’s like losing your keychain. All I can do is hope I forgot it somewhere at home because I sure can’t go outside without it. I wanna find joy in things again, and it is so difficult to get you shit together when...
Simulant meds for inattentive ADHD?
I’m a 45-year-old dude who’s only now coming to grips with having probably lived my whole life with undiagnosed inattentive-type ADHD. My wife and online communities like this one (and formerly Reddit) have helped me see that I may have been playing life on hard mode by pretending I didn’t have ADHD....
What are your morning routines and reset routines?
After having success with a sleep routine (that starts 1 hour earlier from when I want to fall asleep) and seeing someone mention morning routines and reset routines (“A reset routine is something you do when you’re feeling super unfocused”) I wanted to know yours, so that I can better craft and tailor mine.
Finishing programming projects
How do I trick my brain into completing a project? I’m making an app that shows which voice actor plays a character in the movie and what other movies they act in. It’s useful for me personally but I feel like I’m making something that’s been done numerous times over and I lost the momentum because I’m on vacation with...

Is there a consensus on what's the best way to treat General Anxiety disorder while ADHD?
I already go frequently to therapy and take SSRIs (for over 10 years now). I guess they kinda help as antidepressants, but anxiety wise I haven’t had any luck if it’s not Benzos or Weed (but weed creates money anxiety on the comedown)...
Those who have been on prescribed stimulants for many years (>5), how do you manage tolerance and crashing?
I have been on ADHD meds for about 7.5 years now. I started with Vyvanse and my dose was at 70mg in the first year. I was having bad crashes at night, so I switched to Adderall 40mg with 10mg Dexidrine and stayed on it for a few years. Recently, I switched to Concerta 90mg because my tolerance was getting too high and it...
Does bike riding improve concentration?

How do you handle being misunderstood?
I’m sure lots of ADHDers know what I mean. Situations where you’re not meaning ill intent, but the way that a situation turns out makes it seem like you’re the bad guy/girl....
What was the most surprising change you noticed after starting medication?
For me, it’s how much better I can do things I thought I was already fine at. Like engaging in conversations, handling complex logic, or just consciously relaxing.
Non-Medication Management?
Greetings, fellow ADHDers!...
Burnt Out

How do you organize your inventory in video games?
It’s always the same pattern: After a few hours I decide to sort everything because it runs out of control but then I never do it again so it’s getting worse than before....
Had to stop taking meds, looking for advice.
I'm posting this simply because I didn't have any other place to post it, and I'm hoping I'll get some sort of cathartic relief by doing so....

Hi, I’m 46 years old and have had a diagnosis since childhood ( was call add then). And without getting to much into it have had many challenges throughout my life. I’m in a good place now where my own Strahles coupled with therapy and medication help me manage things. Up until very recently i felt like this was something to...
