I have an operational question, any help appreciated.

I am new to exploring philosophy and began reading a history of philosophy book. The author notes that most of the summary is of western philosophy but does touch on some East Asian/Persian/Arabian philosophy. Is there a book with a decently accurate portrayal, without adding too much commentary?

Hearing about others’ dreams has always been a subject that really interests me.

I swear I’m smart and have pretty ok reading comprehension…but when I pick up a new game I have the hardest time understanding the rules and mechanics by just reading the instructions. Watching videos is helpful but I still really only pick it up while playing the game and going through the motions....

A post with id 1 in lemmy.world has a different id in lemmy.ml (or any instance). How do I get the post id in lemmy.ml?

I’m an admin in our own instance (mujico.org), I have seen some posts that need the NSFW tag but I can’t find a way to put that tag, There are some posts that are not NSFW and I would like to remove that, that’s it.

Does anyone have any experience with doing this? It’s not for myself, but for someone who isn’t tech inclined. I want to set him up with FOSS to avoid future shitification by azn. I know I need to strip drm, and then convert out of amz formats, but really have no idea how to do this. Any help would be appreciated! -j

I’ve been watching the last few days, what’s happening with the mod team here on startrek.website? All of a sudden it’s really locked down, and reading through the mod log there’s a lot of removals for small things. Are we not allowed to even make jokes here now?...

I have used SearXNG for a while, but I switched to LibreX after the search engine started glitching. Recently, though, LibreX has stopped returning any results. I am currently on Mojeek, but the results aren’t that great....
