To avoid the issues with the new history syllabus, my kids decided not to pick history or social studies as options for the Unified State Exam. We decided instead to study 20th-century history at home, looking at different views on historical events and how our ancestors lived in that period.
We’ll study history at home using Tamara Eidelman’s lectures or Maxim Kats’s Youtube videos.

It was forced on much of the US by retail business lobbyists to, get this, have people commuting home earlier in the winter day so they’d shop more on the way home. They figured people would buy more if it were still daylight. There’s a county in Indiana that doesn’t recognize DST and never has.
The death toll in Kryvyi Rih has risen to four people. One of them was a 10-year-old child. A total of 31 people, including four children, are currently reported to have suffered traumatic injuries.
