triprotic,

I was waiting for the reviews before buying (as I know I’ll be playing Starfield next week), expecting them to be ~80% at which point I’d wait for a sale, but it looks like it’s a damn fine game.

Will likely wait for some twitch streams for final confirmation, but will likely pick it up this weekend now.

triprotic,

Looks like this is an issue for retail mode only, if you’re using developer mode to run emulators you shouldn’t have issues:

“Players could pay a one-time fee to get a developer mode attached to their console. From there, you could gain access to emulators. In fact, it looks like that option is still readily available. You will lose out on features made only for retail mode, which could mean going back and forth between the modes.”

triprotic,

I mean, if you want to do emulation there’s better/cheaper ways to do it than an Xbox, but at least the option is there in some form.

triprotic,

I haven’t started season 2 yet… After chainsaw man, I’m finding it hard to take this serious, so many similarities where Chainsaw Man doesn’t take the usual tropes but messes with expectation in a satisfying character driven way.

How is JJK season 2 for those that have watched the episodes that are out?

Best options for cross device RSS sync?

I could use some advice on RSS feed syncing options. Usually I would just use Feeder on my phone to grab my RSS feeds, then if I’m consuming content another device I would just check it on my phone and then open the content on anther device. Cross device sync would have been nice, but I got along fine without it. Recently...

triprotic,

I’ve been using a self hosted FreshRSS for a bit and it reminds me of the old Google Reader, works really nicely.

triprotic,

I’m really torn to watch this, I’m sure I’ll enjoy the game so don’t want to be spoiled, but at the same time I want to know more about the game…

Might wait for the reviews to drop to get a better idea of how good the game is and watch some stuff if the reviews are a bit mixed 🤔

triprotic,

Still putting time into FFXVI, didn’t get much time in the week, but hoping to make some good progress this weekend.

Still enjoying overall, but feeling the lack of loot and equipment setups from previous FF games.

Stray really disappointed me. I want a real cat game.

Just an open world survival game, only you’re a cat, dealing with regular cat problems. You have to hunt, avoid larger animals, compete with other cats, figure out which humans are dangerous and which will give you treats, judiciously spray things to maintain your territory, maybe mate and reproduce (your sex and fertility...

triprotic,

It’s not out yet, but there is a demo to try.

triprotic,

Getting pretty deep into FF16, really enjoying it still, the combat seems to be opening up which is making it more fun, will try and do all the side quests before the end, but will see how it goes.

triprotic,

I think it’s an interesting topic, thanks for the article.

It does start to raise some interesting questions, if an author doesn’t want they book to be ingested by a LLM, then what is acceptable? Should all LLMs now be ignorant of that work? What about summaries or reviews of that work?

What if from a summary of a book an LLM could extrapolate what’s in the book? Or write a similar book to the original, does that become a new work or is it still fall into the issue of copyright?

I do fear that copyright laws will muddy the waters and slow down the development of LLMs and have a greater impact more than any government standards ever will!
