@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I use because of the people that claim 'everyone' is on the spectrum have diluted and ruined the term. They did what NTs always do: diminish any attempt to show that some people are not weirdos, their brains just work differently.

@iamaugustreign @Slipp @autism101 @actuallyautistic Part of the description of your BF seems like an OCD element in mixed in, because I'm like that, An explanation has to 'feel' complete, no different than some people's OCD touching of a on/off button until it 'feels' complete. It drives everyone, including me, crazy. It's different than mansplaining, but comes across to others the same.

@Slipp @autism101 @actuallyautistic my experience is the 'spectrum' is not a graditional scale, it's a grouping of certain traits that are different for everyone. Most people (NTs) don't have those traits, so no, everyone is not autistic, but NTs will catagorize everyone on a scale, just like they catagorize autism as 'bad' and needing to be 'cured'.

When travelling I suffer from strong anxiety related to the fear of bed bugs or other critters and the idea I could bring them accidentally to my home. I guess it differs from phobia, because I don't fear the animals themself, it is more anxiety of an uncontrollable situation at home.
I know that gold standard for phobia like things is CBT, but I read that CBT does not work very well for autists. Did you face similar anxiety and found a solution?

@Dr_Obvious @actuallyautistic regarding CBT and cannibis, those can help with sleep. Lack of sleep makes everything worse, including anxiety and phobias. IMO.

@MxM111 @hedge @maynarkh I still get some robocalls, if they leave a message. Most people don't answer their phones if the calling number is not in their contacts list, so that has put a damper on the robocalls effectiveness. It also puts a damper on the effectiveness of political polling.
