@bookstodon Good morning. I remember reading sometime in the past year that BookDepository (can ship books anywhere in the world) was shutting down. Two questions: a. is this true, and b. is there another way I, in the States, could send a hard copy book to another country without going through Amazon? Thanks.
@gwendolenau@starry1086@bookstodon There's also Wordery (UK company) who do free international delivery. I think one of the original Book Depository people started it after TBD was sold to Amazon.
@consumableJoy The WIP that stands out in my mind is 13 years old. I started it back in 2010 when I was working a temporary summer job in a chilly office, so wanted a professional-ish jacket. The pattern I found called for Lionbrand homespun (and had a knit-purl pattern! why?), which in my experience is extremely splitty. I know all I have to do on it is the finishing edge, but I almost feel like remaking it with "better" yarn so I can enjoy the pattern as I make it.
