starry1086,

@bookstodon Good morning. I remember reading sometime in the past year that BookDepository (can ship books anywhere in the world) was shutting down. Two questions: a. is this true, and b. is there another way I, in the States, could send a hard copy book to another country without going through Amazon? Thanks.

Yes, Book Depository shut down (I think in April?). I'm in Australia and since then I have been using blackwell.co.uk as a replacement. It's part of Waterstones and not quite as cheap but seems to function very similarly to BD.

@gwendolenau @starry1086 @bookstodon There's also Wordery (UK company) who do free international delivery. I think one of the original Book Depository people started it after TBD was sold to Amazon.

starry1086,

@patchworkbunny @gwendolenau @bookstodon Wonderful. Thank you for the info.
