shortwavesurfer,

Probably, yes. But I think that would involve creating a new account to access the repo.

shortwavesurfer,

Ah, good point. Will add an edit

shortwavesurfer,

I checked Android IP Scanner and it hasnt been updated since early 2021 either. Vernet has been updated quite recently and works, but doesnt do what i need it to since i want to get ipv6 addresses too.

shortwavesurfer,

My suspicion is that nobody has made an app yet that will use IPv6 primarily.

shortwavesurfer,

You did the link right, but i would put “this fun thread” as the link to make ot easier to tap or click.

shortwavesurfer,

I just use my notes app and the letter “x” Two denote whether that thing has been paid already. I use a method called the Dave Ramsey every dollar method where every dollar has a purpose and you budget in such a way that absolutely every single dollar you get has a job. So, I get paid, and then my bank account is nearly empty two days later, but every dollar has done its job. I know that there are unexpected expenses, so a few dollars are miscellaneous, and their job is just to cover the $5 subscription that comes out quarterly, I forgot, etc.

shortwavesurfer,

Trump won the 2020 election and the Democrats rigged it.

shortwavesurfer,

From what I understand, mull is more privacy-centric than fennec. However, I don’t use it because I had trouble accessing some websites with it.

shortwavesurfer,

I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and really like it.

shortwavesurfer,

I’m using the $5 plan because that one works well for me. But yes, I agree. The prices are pretty fair.

shortwavesurfer,

Its an internet reachable address starting with 26xx but apparently its going to be fixed in ff v122. Its only affecting mobile ff but not desktop

shortwavesurfer,

Yep, another comment said its a bug that will be fixed in v122

shortwavesurfer,

What version is nightly? Its aplarently being fixed in v122.

Look Out Below: Recession Is Coming

The central banks of the world are guiding us to a perfect crash landing. Interest rates have remained elevated in an attempt to curb the inflation brought on by printing excessively during 2020 and 2021. This strategy has actually worked by reducing US inflation from over 9% at the beginning of the year to around 3.5% now,...

shortwavesurfer,

Oh, why is that?

shortwavesurfer,

Nope, i wrote it.

shortwavesurfer,

What about their uses in industry? Computer chips, batteries, all kinds of things use precious metals.

shortwavesurfer,

I thought about it

shortwavesurfer,

Ah, fair enough.

shortwavesurfer,

Ouch! My poor bot feelings! 😭🤣

shortwavesurfer,

I like it!

shortwavesurfer,

Wow, this was a very well put together informative comment. Thanks for all the useful links as well

shortwavesurfer,

From what i understand molten salt reactors are quite safe as well .

shortwavesurfer,

Once the fossify apps are on fdroid i will be moving to them

shortwavesurfer,

What has happened? Thats a reddit link

shortwavesurfer,

Seriously. Thats not okay

shortwavesurfer,

If we didnt run a dehumidifier the humidity in my house would stay above 80% most of the year. We have a decently large dehumidifier and by itself it cant get it below 45%. But 45% is much better then 80+% so it could be worse

shortwavesurfer,

The vast majority of it definitely comes from the area in which I live.

shortwavesurfer,

I use rhvoice which is not the best by any stretch, but its good enough and its FOSS

shortwavesurfer,

I use osmand in conjunction with gps-coordinates.net so I can get the GPS coordinates of addresses to put into osmand since it has a serious lack of addresses

shortwavesurfer,

I highly suspect it’s a lack of contributors since I live in a small city in the United States (~50k population).

shortwavesurfer,

Technically, yes, it is encrypted. However, Facebook still gets metadata on who you talk to, when you talk to them, how long you talk to them, your contact information, etc. As an example, if you talked to your girlfriend, then you talked to her doctor, and then you talked to your mom. There’s a good chance that your girlfriend may be pregnant, even if I did not know what was said. Or, if I know you are at the top of a bridge and that you contacted a suicide hotline… So just because it is encrypted does not mean it is safe.

shortwavesurfer,

This made me laugh. Thanks

shortwavesurfer,

If you can contribute, that would be great. Especially business names and addresses. The best thing I have found to do is get an address from a place via the internet and plug that into gps-coordinates.net and use the first 7 numbers like 31.12345 -82.12345 into osmand when navigating. Then when i arrive i add it to osm so nobody can claim i stole data from another mapping service.

shortwavesurfer,

Its pretty nice. I am using it for a couple groups. It has some screen reader accessibility issues, but the devs are responsive and fix them as i find them.

shortwavesurfer,

Monero, as for wallets Monero.com and Monerujo are your best bets for now.

shortwavesurfer,

No, there is a monero.com wallet on play store play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.monero.… and on fdroid via a custom repository. Its on the IOS app store as well if you own one of those apps.apple.com/us/app/…/id1601990386

shortwavesurfer,

Strange. Mine is not doing that. Hopefully it gets fixed for you.

Privacy benefits of Custom roms

So recently my moto G60 reached the end of life with respect to security updates. That was the reason I was using to prevent myself from switching to a custom rom(actual reason is laziness). This phone has rom support for pixel experience and lineage OS. So my questions are if pixel experience has any privacy advantages when...

shortwavesurfer,

If you use gapps you basically screw the privacy benifits. Use yourbank.com from a browser or get a new bank

shortwavesurfer,

Its better than using gapps for sure

shortwavesurfer,

I am a big Thunder fan as it reminds me a lot of RedReader from my reddit days.

shortwavesurfer,

Depends on how pure you want to be. If you are a purest, that is a bad thing to do.

shortwavesurfer,

True. I have been using Lineage with no gapps package for a bit over 4 years now. I no longer even have a google account as of almost 2 years ago.

shortwavesurfer,

I think i read somewhere that the average person has $5k in credit card debt and something like 60% of people couldnt cover a sudden $400 expense without a credit card.
