Hello everyone, I’m in search of a new Android browser. Currently, I’m using Via browser, which is lightweight and functions well with essential features. However, the only thing it lacks is a tracker library blocker. I’m contemplating switching to Mozilla Fennec, which does have a library blocker, but I’d prefer...

for anyone using Mull on Android, since i’m using it that the webview i see in apps like Feeder seems to be using Mull, although when checking the implementation in Dev Options, it does look (from logo and name lol) like normal Chromium webview...
i’m on Android 13 also (vanilla LOS [ungoogled]) and it’s the first version i’m running unrooted. i did once change webview to Bromite’s, i think 2 or 3 Android versions ago, but on the next one i could not manage to change it again, so i’m stuck with the default
i’m glad these custom tabs are a thing now tho, since all the apps that i’m using that need some webbing seem to be ‘powered by Mull’ now
thanks a lot for the reference! i don’t know how i’ve missed Mulch, i’ve been following SkewedZeppelin’s work with Divested in general and am so glad for his contributions
i’m still gonna stick with Mull for dailyridin’ (avoiding Chromium dominance, and all) but will investigate using it as webview
i’m not sure if what seems to be a poignant interactive demonstration of internet UX enshitification is shallow/incomplete or depends on javascript/trackers that my browser is blocking. it’s ironic either way
Hi everyone im new to the OSM community but eager to contribute. Im curious how many of you use OSM on android phones and how you interact with it. I’m interested both in terms of contributing but also using it for its map functionality e.g. navigation. Based in my early research so far the most popular apps seem to be:...
here on degoogled android (LineageOS) i have been using OsmAnd~ (F-Droid version) for a couple of years, and i love it. it was a bit overwhelming at first, since it’s deep in its customization, but it means you can make it be as you want. it’s great for navigation (in my region OSM is a bit short on street numbers, tho) although it took some time getting used to they way it display things like changing lanes before an exit. i found it after i went looking for a replacement for Maps.me when it went closed source
i just recently started contributing through StreetComplete and i’m loving it, but eventually would like to move on to bigger edits (like adding buildings and roads) but haven’t explored the best way to do that. i know you can make edits in OsmAnd~ but i suspect the OSM web page on desktop will be better for that
Hi, ive been pirating stuff for a bit and I currently use Picotorrent, but I wanted to know what everyone else uses to see if there is a better option.
as the other lemming said, on Android LibreTorrent works great
just wanted to add something that might be off topic but since you mention Linux ISOs: EtchDroid
with it you can create a Linux bootable flash drive straight from your Android device. i use a small USB-A + USB-C pen drive that connects on one end to my desktop and on the other to my phone. has saved me from my linux fails several times :D
Best android browser?

What mobile app do you use for getting linux ISOs via torrent?
Would be great if it was open source or something that have community's approval.
