How bad are everyone else’s side effects? I currently take a 30mgXR in the morning and 10mgIR part way through the day. I can get some facial tics and other OCD like symptoms. They aren’t bad enough to lower my dose or make other changes at this point. Just wondering what others are experiencing and if anyone has any tips or...
I take 10mgIR in the morning and 10mgIR in the afternoon. There is appetite suppression, but not bad. The strangest side effect is sleeping in on the weekends–before Adderall, I hadn’t been able to sleep past 7 for many years. Now, I can easily sleep until noon. There are much worse side effects, but it’s bit annoying to waste a good portion of my day off sleeping.
There are a couple of heavy things running through my head I kinda want to get off my chest (nothing deeply personal though) and discuss with people. It’s more than just casual conversation, so I can’t post there....
Owning a pet responsibly is like owning a car: there is the expense of regular maintenance, and then every so often you have to drop a wad of money for a major repair.
Don’t get me wrong, my animals are worth it, but I think some first-time pet owners don’t realize this.
No idea about your cars, but my cats? Because they can eat them when I don’t feel them fast enough in the morning and then I have to the vet because they can’t yak them up or pass them.
I love the little gremlins, but they are both bonded rescue cats that have pica or something.
Seriously, I doubt any doctor would recommend a patient with depression to take a “medication holiday.”
I appreciate that some doctors are concerned that a med will lose its effectiveness because of tolerance, but can happen with any medication. That’s also why there are multiple medications on the market.
There’s a lot of to-do list apps, reminders, calendars etc out there advertised towards us to help us do things like break down large tasks into meaningful chunks and focus on what we need to do each day, but I want to hear from the community what do you guys think is the best so let’s start a thread
Habitica for daily tasks (I like the RPG feel), gobin.tools for breaking down tasks into manageable increments, and the pomodoro app Focus To-Do to keep momentum. I use a paper calendar for appointments and dates and index cards to keep track of tasks that don’t have a specific date involved.
Because it could literally be life or death, I wouldn’t put it past them to take a page from the ED warmline and try using bots. It sure worked for NEDA… /s

Today's my birthday and the only happy birthday I got was an automated email from my work. I'll also be spending the day all by myself... Feeling so lonely rn.
Don’t really know what I’m expecting here… I’m just venting I guess.

Why do my cats like this toy? (lemmy.world)
It doesn’t resemble prey like a mouse or snake, so why do they like this cheap slice of plastic?
Medication holiday
My psychiatrist strongly suggested that I take a “medication holiday”, meaning not taking meds for up to a month during the summer holidays....
