It provides pretty good translations, but it’s not particularly good for privacy. Obviously it’s better than Google, but their privacy policy isn’t great.
Signal is finally delivering the stuff we have all been waiting for. First, they implemented post quantum cryptography in the protocol in September, then we got message editing, and now we will finally get usernames. Awesome!
The Pixel 8 is a great hardware choice, but I recommend installing GrapheneOS which massively improves your privacy and security. It’s super easy and doesn’t have major downsides. I recommend this video: youtube.com/watch?v=yTeAFoQnQPo
The best thing about Android and Google Pixel phones is the fact that you can remove all Google spyware. Check out GrapheneOS, it’s probably the only version of Android that offers the same level of security as an iPhone while not compromising on privacy. It also gives you the opportunity to learn a lot about Android and how it works. I recommend you to read through their documentation on the website, I find it interesting and fascinating. If you prefer a video, I recommend this one.
Some general things: Both Tmux and Neovim have such broad plugin ecosystems, helix and zellij don’t even come close.
For zellij specifically: I don’t like the UI, it’s just way too much stuff on the screen, it’s distracting. Tmux tries to stay out of the way and only displays something if it’s absolutely necessary. You can also configure everything yourself.
Regarding helix: As a long time Vim/Emacs-evil user I just can’t get used to stuff like Kakoune or Helix, it just feels weird.
