@wfpb OATMEAL POWER! A crazy plant-based doctor, Neal Nedley, says increasing Omega 3 and fruit intake boosts mood. It seems to be working really well for me, on top of my usual mental health medications. I feel so happy and vigorous, I could run a mile! Maybe I'm just going crazy. @skountouros@littlemiao@wfpb I hear ground flax seeds quickly go rancid and can't really be stored in a jar like whole flax seeds can. This means they have to be ground before use, I think.
Had a good #dinner tonight. Whole wheat spaghetti with portabella mushroom, onion, kalamata olives, garlic, fennel seed, and lentils, topped with cashew parm. Simple salad with spring greens, tomato, hemp seeds, and Asian dressing. @wfpb@vegan#WFPB#vegan#vegetarian
@chiraag@wfpb I don't think this is the place to discuss politics. And Pepsi is (however marginally) better than Coca-Cola, ethics-wise. I don't like that they patent citrus fruits, but at least they don't kill unionizers.
I'm making a new batch of BROL (1 cup each of barley, rye, and oats cooked & mixed with 1 cup of cooked beluga lentils). I'm using purple barley this time. Purple barley is a hull-less variety.
