No one will believe this, but that's ok. We'll couch it in a what if to make it easier to digest.

What if, when you brought your creative will to bear, the energy that drove you to create was bound in your creation? A piece of your soul woven into reality. What would that look like from the other side of veil?

What if I spoke to someone from the other side last night, and they said that these creations are alive? That they ripple like firefish on the surface of an obsidian pond, the poetry swimming with the music, slipping through art and magick in fractal schools of imagination, the brilliance of math waltzing with philosophy, storytelling a prophecy of infinite possibility.

What if they sang that the Akashic record is a living ecosystem of imagination when seen from the in-between? And that the most curious thing is that even as we create it, it creates us - our dreams brush it as we drift in sleep, our desire is born within it, and we ourselves are the result of the creative spark in our parents eyes (or thighs, as it may be)....?

And what if this is why the fractal elves (themselves woven of this weave) laugh at us when we cross the boundary - just as we laugh at NPCs and characters like Deadpool who break the 4th wall?

I love this! 🪷

It also reminds me, tangentially, of this quote by David Lynch:

"Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you’ve got to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They’re huge and abstract. And they’re very beautiful." 🐡

Which practices have contributed the most to your personal spiritual growth?

For me, it's the following:

  • Setting aside time each day for prayer, the reading of sacred texts, and contemplation

  • Sticking to a consistent meditation schedule

  • Researching the works of theologians, mystics, and skeptics alike

  • Keeping a journal of all of my spiritual questions, concerns, wishes, and experiences

  • Letting signs and synchronicities inspire me, but letting discernment guide my actions.

  • Embracing the ecstatic and confounding nature of the Mysteries with wonder and love

🙏 Weekly Prayer Requests 🙏

Lately, I have felt called to pray on the behalf of people who feel like they could use a little spiritual support.

If you would like me to pray for you, please comment your name or nickname below.

If you wish, you can also add some context if you'd like me to pray for you for a specific reason. Otherwise, it'll be a generic prayer for prosperity, wellbeing, happiness, and spiritual guidance. I'll pray for you once a day from today until next Tuesday. 💕

There is a reason why the Greek word "pneuma" means both "breath" and "soul." This is part of my personal gnosis on the matter:

When you inhale, you're not sucking the air into your lungs: You're contracting your diaphragm and expanding your lungs to create space. The resulting decrease in pressure is what allows the air to flow into and fill the space created.

Exhalation is much the same, only in reverse: By contracting your lungs and relaxing your diaphragm, you close the empty space in your lungs, pushing the air out as it has no where else to go.

Spirituality and religion are much like inhalation: When you make space for the Divine, Spirit will flow into your life like air into your lungs, easily and effortlessly.

The recent alien discourse has been fascinating because, whether you believe in aliens or not, the way that we talk about and mythologize aliens tells us so much about ourselves. The alien phenomenon is a giant mirror back at us: what we value, what we fear, what we admire, what brings us pride, what brings us shame, etc. If I ever get back into academia, I'd definitely research the heck out of this. It hits that sweet spot between my occult and my sociological interests.

And don't even get me started on how folks' reaction to the possibility of aliens reveals so much about us and how we view technology, the government, religion, etc. That's fascinating stuff too.

Whoa! Fascinating article, whether it's true or just creative fiction. But I get what you mean: people would rather dismiss unusual phenomenon entirely (and dismiss those who research it) than confront the idea that maybe life is significantly stranger than we've been led to believe.

Here are some servers that I love:

pagan.plus: My home Mastodon/Hometown server! Our admin is fantastic and communicative, and he really cares about the safety of everyone in the community. There's 0 tolerance for any kind of bigotry here, and kindness/respect are highly emphasized. Plus it's filled with all kinds of awesome pagan folk!

the.occultist.space: A brand new occult-oriented Calckey server. Even though only a few people have joined so far, it seems like a promising space. Some trolls from a different server tried to harass me when I first joined, and the admin was very quick to respond and put a stop to it. The admin seems dedicated to making a safe server for all folks and isn't afraid to admit and fix mistakes.

weirdo.network: While I'm not a member of this Mastodon server, I follow a bunch of people from it. It's a paranormal/high strangeness server! Lots of cool stuff gets posted here.
