“Nobody uses water,” one man in a Dodgers cap said in Spanish when Maria Cabrera approached, holding flyers about silicosis, an incurable and suffocating disease that has devastated dozens of workers across the state and killed men who have barely reached middle age....
The dumbest thing is the mentality between workers sometimes. “Don’t be a pussy” some will say when you ask for masks/goggles/ear plugs/etc but none of them will be there when you eventually get injured or sick. None of them will congratulate you, hand you a tough-guy-trophy and pay your medical bills + pension.
Alright how about this: mandatory health insurance for pets. This could have multiple positive effects. People wouldn’t carelessly get pets without considering the costs as often. Any insurance would ask for very high rates for any of the incredibly defective breeds people keep buying. I know people find that flat faced pug funny/cute but they literally can’t breathe ffs. This might lead to less demand and less breeding. Vets and their customers wouldn’t have to worry about costs so much which would take a lot of the stress out and make many currently difficult decisions a lot easier. As a responsible per owner you have these costs either way.
Same as oil companies claiming they care about going green now after denying the mere existence of climate change tooth and nail for decades. Apple even already confirmed that they’ll weasle their way out of the EU law for replacable phone batteries with the waterproof loophole.

Feel free to list a few video games from different genres. Best is definitely subjective and I’m sure there are many “Best” games for various categories....
There are plenty of games like this from the last few years. Elden Ring, Zelda, TLOU2, GoW2 just to name some AAA titles. Many indie games too. It just got a bit more annoying to filter out the cash grabs.
Every day some engineer would have to answer his questions. “Can we remove brown?” “Pardon me?” “The color, brown, can we remove it?” “I’m sorry I don’t understand, remove it from where? I don’t think our rocket has any b-” “No, I mean from the world. Maybe with our satellites?” “I…don’t think that’s something we’ll be able to-” “How about birds? I don’t like them. They remind me of god.” “We…we’ll look into it.”
I really don’t think they’ll replace the team nor do I think that’s the cause anyway. This patch was rushed for the season which was rushed to grab cash. Aggressive monetization remains the most toxic factor in game development and it usually comes from upper management rather than your hands on developers.
As a hypothetical, say it became easy to grab water from objects in space and then move it places that needed (Africa / the gulf). What would the end results be for the global climate over time? Would you just end up with a flooded earth? Would temperatures rise or fall as time goes on?
How much are we talking here? If it’s a shitfuckton I’m pretty sure it would get warmer as ice and land mass would get covered by less reflective water and more water vapor would accumulate in the atmosphere as a greenhouse gas. Also Kevin Costner would be out there doing his shenanigans trying to find some land so we just generally want to avoid this whole scenario because the man is too old for this shit at this point.
My parents have always been left-wing hippies and entertained the odd conspiracy theory, but during the pandemic they got lost down YouTube rabbit holes and bought into Q-Anon and anti-vax ideas. They still don’t believe Covid is real (even though they blatantly had it…)....
My parents would watch a channel that had little pro Russia news segments thrown into commercials. The damage this constant little poking with misinformation does is not easily undone. They didn’t even notice how their opinion was formed by those few lines in-between their favorite shows. Then suddenly they had issues with their satellite dish and when I fixed it somehow, for some totally unknown reason that channel was no longer there. Woops. They found other shows to watch and don’t support the war anymore.
I for one am ready for a public servant AI that gives you form Y34-b and sends you to another AI that then tells you it should’ve been form Y34-a and only the third AI can fix it but they’re currently on vacation so you’ll have to comeback another time on a Monday or Wednesday between 10:00 and 10:30am.

Challenging content isn’t a big part of arpgs because when you look closer at it you realize that the gameplay really isn’t cut out for it. It’s not like a souls game where you dodge and carefully time your attacks. They’re not balanced for this at all. If you play on a difficulty that would be considered challenging this game kinda falls apart. As a barbarian there’s no elegant way of dealing with elite range mobs that drop multiple effects on the ground and then shoot you. You deal with them by having gear good enough to just blast through them. If you actually have to dodge all those things it gets incredibly clunky and frustrating. Tldr; the gear grind is all they have.
At least in 3 you could choose to play solo which was way less laggy than this open world mess and most important of all you could fucking pause the game. Being in a nightmare dungeon with one of a throusand affixes that force you to move at all times or you die by some shit that’s constantly chasing you and then the door bell rings is great. Just great.
It’s the event where you find an injured adventurer and two of their companions. They want you to protect them from the waves of enemies but they get melted within the first 10 seconds or so no matter how much I clear the waves. I’m lvl 56 playing T3 and I’m using a melee rogue with really good AoE damage....
I don’t think there’s a trick. Even if you kill the enemies really fast the NPC’s seem to be dropping from some AOE splash dmg or they stumble and suffer from a fatal ankle sprain. Let’s face it, these people are too soft for sanctuary. Even if you saved them in this even they’d get shredded 5 minutes later. Lilith was right all along.
I know it’s early but I’m very disappointed in the build variety of barbarians so far. It’s shout builds only because anything else is too weak to compete. Even found the unique chain pull axe but giving up a shout on the bar is simply not worth it. Anyway with the start of the first season I’d like a class with some...
Rogue is actually top of my list so far with Necro as a close second. Sorc looks neat too but I already heard they got similar issues with many mandatory skills. To a certain degree that’s always a thing but I’d like more than 1 button to change between builds.
That’s a bummer. I played sorc during beta and it was a lot of fun but any build gets boring over time so it’d be so much better to have multiple viable builds that actually feel different.
There’s always one top build for solo pushing and that’s fine but on the way there I’d like to switch it up sometimes. Maybe have some unique drop and build something around that. At some point a unique 2h sword for bleed builds dropped but the skill/weapon effect is so weak and clunky that it simply isn’t worth it. Not even close. That’s what I’m trying to avoid.

I’m a Kyovachad myself but I really wish they would’ve put certain things closer to the center. As a certified hoarder I need my stash and bs close to the portal and each other.

This is why Lilith made a lot of sense to me. She was the main villain of this game, yet seemed like the least evil option in this universe. Kinda curious how many players would've sided with her if this was an rpg with choices.
