Reading through people’s comment history and judging them based on it is super toxic. Let’s leave that behavior on previous platforms? Also, $35k for a new car is unfortunately lower than average ($46k). I wouldn’t call anyone rich merely because they bought a modest car.
Does OpenTracks have the features you’re wanting? It tracks your path, shows stats, and allows you to save it to recall later. It’s on F-Droid. opentracksapp.com
What reality do you live in that you think vehicles in the U.S. are getting smaller? Please compare a new Colorado or Maverick pickup to an S-10 or Ranger from the 90’s. Sales of fullsize cars have decreased over time (but that’s only because they have been replaced by trucks and SUVs).
The margins are why car makers prefer them. Crossovers are cheap to make, have fewer emission regulations, and they conveniently sell for higher prices.

Try YouTube Revanced (requires modding APK) or LibreTube (available on F-Droid) if you’re on Android. Go with SmartTube on Android TV. Just use Firefox + uBlock Origin if watching YouTube on a computer.
I’m on android and I’m wondering if there’s any way to skip the ads without getting premium? I don’t need the premium features necessarily but I hate the ads interrupting my practice. Anyone have any reliable leads? Thank you.
That’s not the point. USB 3 is 15 years old and has been widely available for 13 years. Most would expect a new $800 flagship phone to have modern standards.
I completely agree with what you’re saying. Physics is definitely in favor of the larger mass during a collision. But if you need to get a big car, just because everyone else has a big car, that seems like a race no one wins (except auto manufacturers).
If you have an Android TV, I highly recommend SmartTube. You do need to sideload the APK. But once you do that, it’s smooth sailing. It has no ads + SponsorBlock. It just.doesn’t support LG’s OS or Roku.
I’d suggest Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC if you’re sticking with M$. It’s the least bloated and least intrusive modern OS. You should see improvement in battery life and your devices can use the same drivers. The official MSDN ISOs aren’t hard to find. Then find “massgravel” on GitHub and you can pretty easily figure out permanent activation via HWID.
That makes sense. My Win 11 skills are definitely lacking. They are going to drag me kicking and screaming. I’m holding out for LTSC before I install it on a test rig (to play with at home). I only run 10 and Debian at the moment.
For me its honestly a ton of my work software (digital forensics), shit is too niche to be replaced by good FOSS options. Cellebrite, Magnet Axiom, etc. Autopsy is great and free and has a linux version but it simply cannot get the same level of data without a pretty nutty level of custom code....
I use Blue Iris for capturing IP cameras. I’ve tried ZoneMinder, iSpy, and Motion (via MotionEyeOS) but just can’t find something that works as dependably well. It could definitely be user error (and not getting the alternatives dialed in). But I always go back to Blue Iris. 😔
Mostly too many false positives from shadows. Its definitely user error, as I know motion detection is completely configurable. What FOSS IP cam software do you guys run that I should commit to trying and sticking with?
Civic in this context refers to the compact car model produced by Honda since 1972. It is popular for being cheap and frequently modified (AKA “riced”). Civics in its alternative context is the study of the rights and obligations of citizens in society. The term relates to behavior affecting other citizens, particularly in the context of urban development.

Why’s it free on F-droid but $3.49 on Google Play? Or is the dev on Play just shamelessly profiting off an open source app? Edit: My bad. As everyone pointed out, purchasing on Google Play is how you can donate to the project. Sorry to jump to conclusions.
