I’m glad I bought it early because I had a lot of fun and got my money’s worth out of it. But I don’t recommend the game to people because it’s no longer the game I bought.
Reddit is still a much larger archive of crowd sourced knowledge, so until Lemmy becomes more comprehensive there’s still some reason for me to use reddit. Though I don’t actively participate anymore.
This is exactly what the uncanny valley is. A corpse is so close to resembling a living human without being a living human that it freaks our brains out.
People think it’s going to be like the room, or like watching paint dry. Something that either has a familiar sense of boredom or alternatively any amount of entertainment that can be derived from watching. This is incorrect. There is no entertainment value, nothing to extract joy out of. Just a deep sense of discomfort and the overwhelming urge to literally do anything else with your time.
