Of the many reasons you could be spending a big chunk of the rest of your life in federal prison, impressing NEETs on discord is one of the stupider ones. I hope he spends many years considering his decisions.

I also hope that a Republican doesn’t win the election next year, because whoever it would be, he’ll totally grant a pardon for dumb and completely political reasons. I wish the US had at least two functioning parties run by adults, rather than the 0.5 we have now.

I mean, he was a fucking Air Force reservist. And why is nobody logging access and/or doing log analysis to look for weird access patterns? Or if they are doing that, how come nobody noticed a fucking reservist repeatedly accessing information that had nothing to do with his job?

Also, this is his bedroom. Like holy shit, the flags were unbelievably red.

They’re kept afloat by China, basically. Chaos in NK has the potential to spill over the Yalu and cause problems in China.Plus, Seoul is within artillery range of the DMZ, so any “kinetic” end to the regime is quite risky.

The embargo does not block food and medicine goods to Cuba from the United States, and other countries besides the US trade with Cuba (notably, China). But apart from that, great point.

They’ve had F-16s for years, producing most of them domestically (under license). Maybe some upgrades?

Turkey’s been developing their own “5th gen” fighter, and they do have a pretty decent domestic military industrial base, but they got barred from purchasing the F-35 in 2019 when they bought an S-400 system from Russia - I wonder if he wants those. It’d need some US congressional cooperation to make happen, though.

Don’t they traditionally recruit from former Russian military? Even without the uprising, I’d think their ability to draw on that pool of candidates would be evaporating anyway - what with stop loss orders, etc. They stopped prison recruiting a while back, IIRC, and the MoD was supposedly taking that over.

I still don’t believe they let him live.
