Huh, I didn’t know about that mechanic in that series. I never really did end up liking L4D much, and thinking back on it, probably my biggest issue with the game was a feeling that I never really improved. No matter what I did, every time I played felt like I couldn’t catch up, and it wasn’t an enjoyable, “challenging” feeling. It was just frustrating.
If it’s optional, whatever, but if it’s a forced game “feature”, that would suck. I am perfectly capable of choosing the difficulty of the game I’m playing. Sometimes I want a good challenge, sometimes I don’t, but I never need the game to decide for me that I’m taking too long or going too fast. Screw all of that.
Like I started my first comment with, I’m not assuming that’s what they meant with their “correction”. I’m just pointing out the poor optics with a comment like that. And as I said to the other user, the whole slogan is “Trans rights are human rights”. There’s no need to “correct” it - it’s already there.
You get how unhelpful this is, right? Like, do you go to abortion rights protests and preach the same bs? Or gay rights marches? You’re not helping anyone with this “actually, everyone deserves these rights” garbage. “Everyone” doesn’t face the same problems, so just let people advocate for their rights as they see fit instead of trying to kneecap them for the sake of “equality”.
I definitely see that angle, hence the not assuming, but "um actually"ing a social progress motto isn’t a great look, especially with the existence of “*all lives matter” hanging around.
Also, the whole motto is “Trans Rights are human rights”, so that’s quite literally already laid out.
Me with Speedrunners. Got hooked on it for a little while and got pretty good, but put it down for a few years and don’t stand a chance against anyone still playing it, especially with any custom map.
This has nothing to do with what “value” either of us see in the product. What you said is simply wrong and I’ve already explained why. That you refuse to accept that really just points to your desire to promote misinformation. However, I don’t need to convince you of anything and I’m not going waste my time repeating myself endlessly.
Well, for one, Gamepass isn’t GaaS, it’s a subscription service. And most of the games in their collection are also not GaaS games, to be clear. Second, that wasn’t your initial, hyperbolic point, which was that “shame pass” is a ripoff because it only provides incomplete games (which is also not true).
If you don’t like it, you do you, but don’t make shit up about something just because.
