It was an easy recent favorite of mine after a playthrough. The atmosphere is so well done. It got me to finally play Alan Wake and I’ll definitely pick up that sequel at some point too.
I got hooked on this one from Pedestrian at Best. That’s a pretty unique track in her works with the punk shining through so heavily but I came to really enjoy the rest of the album. I’m a fan of her lyrical style and I like to describe it as Shower Thoughts, The Music:

I haven’t loved her follow ups as much but she’s still a fun presence in a playlist. Saw her a few times live and she puts on a very solid rock show.
Michters American is an excellent whiskey, especially at its price point. Love a cocktail that’ll highlight the strength of the liquor without busying it up.
I remember seeing this at a theater screening of Oscar nominated animated shorts. I’d done no research and wasn’t expecting a Don Hertzfeldt entry. I loved it and it’s since become one of my favorite modern sci fi movies. An older woman in the lobby was complaining about it afterwards and I still think it’s funny how different pieces can speak to people in such wildly different ways.
I’ll always have a soft spot for Criminal introducing us to Fiona Apple but she was young and we didn’t know what we were in for. Fetch the Bolt Cutters was an absolute powerhouse.
