Retina has mechanisms to flip different switches and go into high sensitivity mode. Changing the ISO, if you will. The pupils change consensually under normal physiological circumstances. Even with only one eye closed. If they don’t, you might want to go see a doctor!
Microsoft’s “Edge” was Project Spartan at one point wasn’t it? Probably would have confused a lot of people if it came out that way but would’ve been pretty cool.

Everyone here are so cool with fancy open source alterantives. I’ve been basic and been using Notion for all my med school notes and beyond and while it’s been mostly great the few episodes of outages have been so frustrating. Wish there were some easy to use solutions with all the text formatting options Notion has.
I made the mistake of having bunch of columns, annotated images with captions, and tables everywhere that obsidian’s addons couldn’t really replicate the experience. For prep work around writing research papers, it’s probably easier to use than notion for sure.
Why can't we decrease our eye's FPS to get better night vision?
My phone is normally worse for color gradients and contrasts than my eyes. Also, normally it has worse nightvision....
