As of 3 November, according to Ministry of Health data, 2326 women and 3760 children have been killed in the Gaza strip, representing 67% of all casualties, while thousands more have been injured. This means that 420 children are killed or injured every day, some of them only a few months old.
Google’s position is that it was concerned about losing games on Play, but that there’s nothing nefarious about that. “We just wanted developers to choose Play,” Kochikar said in testimony — particularly when Apple’s iOS was an alternative. And getting games on the service, Koh testified, “was the investment we thought was worth all the dollars.”
Conversely, Epic is using these documents to argue that Google feared competition for Android app distribution and has maintained its Play store as an unlawful monopoly. This deal’s existence doesn’t prove that — but at the very least, it’s an interesting look at how Google sees its games business.
Kind of sounds like they’re arguing the same point?
If you chose “English” for example, anyone who hasn’t set their language to include English, will not see it. Many people never set a language on their profile so they’ll miss out. Need to make sure you don’t deselect “undetermined” in your profile either or you’ll miss every post made without a language being set.
Your language settings are in your profile settings. Which I think you need to access from the website. You could deselect “undetermined” and only select English but as I said you would miss out on a lot of content posted without a language specified. Tbh the implementation of languages on Lemmy doesn’t seem to work as well as I’m sure they intended. I could see it changing at some point.
