I don’t think the shock is that they work in the industry as much as it opens up a LOT of possibilities for a conflict of interest.

When you’re taking ANY measurement ever, conflicts of interest are bad. And what’s at stake here is the health and safety of anyone who eats aspartame, which is a lot.

I don’t think the expertise would get discarded so much as their conclusions. Again the conclusion is that the levels we are ingesting are safe. I don’t want to trust anyone who could profit from the sale of the product they are judging the safety of.

In the 1940s tobacco companies said cigarettes were safe, in the 1950s and 60s we took thalidomide because it was marked as safe, in the 1970s oil companies said petroleum emissions weren’t of any concern.

There is a pattern here and it’s very, very simple

Profits>everything

Why does the special maneuver squadron patch look like this video posted by SomeOrdinaryGamers?

Wouldn’t an open face sandwich be the logical “first step”?

The secret is vodka and pickles right?

I’m gonna try this.

Given that these cuttings have a piece of the stalk with a node, yes they should grow into complete plants. Doing a side by side experiment now with this method vs using just leaf cuttings, I have mixed information on leaf props being viable so we will see what happens. I will update eventually.

Update;

leaf props not viable from my tests.

Stem cutting with multiple nodes work well if you can keep the temp/humidity up without causing fungal issues.

Branches from mother plant predictably emerge from the top nodes

How hard is it to just not be an asshole?

For humans? Impossible.

People bitching about Lemmy.world blocking piracy instances sound like spoiled teenagers with no consideration of consequences

Humans who run instances are real people who have jobs and mortgages and kids. I also like having piracy communities around to balance the greedy ass corporations trying to control media and copyright…I’m glad to know they are there if I need them or feel like screwing around with it. I just wonder if the people ranting all...

And you sound like a pretentious prick 🤷‍♂️

I’ll make a discord post detailing this, I won’t link you to that info, however.

Why are you so mad that user are mad? These people made a new home (free of corporate oversight (fuck spez)) and now corporate bs is leaking in and we are pissed. Makes sense to me. Seeing the mods mock users asking questions is asinine. So I switched instances, which was mildly inconvenient.

Nobody gives a fuck about you kiddo missing the bus mate. Maybe keep it in your lane. Don’t post if your home life is so rocky that you sound like a chud.

Corporate bs lol that is deluded.

When the reason for defederating is because “we might get sued” it might be important to ask who is doing the suing.

Hint: it’s a corporation.

Edit: sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Bro I’m still jittery from hating on spez… all I had to see were some of the comments lemmy.world mods and admin made and it was fucking easy as piss to move instances.

Not getting rid of my old account tho, they can continue to host everything I posted.

YeetPics,
@YeetPics@mander.xyz avatar

Not to mention inflammatory comments from mods/admins to users who aren’t happy.

Smells like reddit 🤢

Apparently Ficus Elastica (rubber tree, tineke) is easily propagated. (lemmy.world)

Did some digging online and the secret is a dish of moist O²-rich soil inside a loosely sealed clear tote. The clear tote lets the leaves photosynthesize while maintaining a higher than average temp and humidity. Meanwhile the oxygenated soil helps with root production....

I use par38 led bulbs mostly, height changes PAR output, they’re great and cheap to run.

You’re right as far as I can tell. There are a lot of bunk videos out there and I got fooled. However there are also a lot of claims about the leaf props doing well so I figured I’d turn my hard prune into an experiment. Worst case scenario I end up with too many props to hand out.

The best part is lemmy.world notified its users of this change on…discord. lol

Great social media site, where you notify end users of major changes on another platform entirely.
