Initially it was kinda barren but over time as more people switched there was more content. First it was just reddit reposts galore, but now i think it’s much less. Probably due to vote meaning even less here. I don’t miss it at all at this point.
Examples: diablo 4 on blizzard client will let you play it before the full game is installed. The ps5 also let’s you do this when installing a new game. But I’ve never seen this option on steam games.
Its just how the installer prioritizes the data. You start with the frame work, and you then install first level dependent data. As long as the player does not out pace the dependencies, there is no problem
I know this is a really vague question, but it’s been on my mind A LOT lately. I’m specifically asking about people fighting on behalf of a group that is subject to oppression of some kind. 3 years ago, with all of the protests in America that included violence majorly against property and minorly against people but were...
A lot of people are probably wondering the same thing, but are not connected to realize this. A lot of people are primed like grasshoppers are to changing into locusts
So the biggest negative about the legalization of cannabis is an increase in hospital admissions due to inadvertent edible use. And more children-young adults admitting they consumed cannabis. Though i wonder if relaxed views on its use prompted more under aged people to truthfully admit to its use then an actual increase in use.
There is need for adults to better monitor their drugs but other then that it seems to be a massive success.
I see the decision you made as the ultimate end to this path you and lemmy world tread. At this rate all federations should defederate each other, or just shut down the whole fediverse. We can go back to individual hyper-specific forums on phbb again.
I mean there is obviously a line between what should federated and what should not. But i feel the reasoning here is fundamentally different then the others chosen in the past.
I went with lemmy world so i could catch the widest net in content. And up till now i agreed with the reasoning of the other defederating.s But it seems like it won’t take much to provoke more restrictions. Guess i will have to lurk in other shores.
So I’m a New Zealander and I have a pretty good idea on how the electoral college system works but it honestly sounds like something that can be easily corrupted and it feels like it renders the popular vote absolutely useless unless I’m totally missing something obvious?...
Clearly you’re not ok becsuse you’re seeing a doctor, but aren’t you supposed to be polite to the nurse? But then again the nurse is doing your intake assessment.
I find it odd that it’s multiple times reinforced that its a conspiracy theory, even unprompted. Like its happening, it’s just by what degree would we consider the internet “dead”.
The ONLY porn site that seemed to be effected is pornhub. You know the one that verifies actors to prevent revenge porn and showing children. You know which porn sites still don’t bother checking your ID? Every other one in the world.

Nowadays, on certain games and game launchers, you can play the game before its fully downloaded. How is possible?
Examples: diablo 4 on blizzard client will let you play it before the full game is installed. The ps5 also let’s you do this when installing a new game. But I’ve never seen this option on steam games.
At what point is violence on a large scale justified?
