Spur4383,

Yeah, the caption should be segregation now, segregation forever. And if we are legally forced to stop scratching, we will make their place clear by building statues to the people that fought to keep them slaves when they get their rights from the federal government. The statues were about sending a message to those that believed segregation was done. The stairs being melted is the right move to send a message to those that built them.

Spur4383,

It would be nice it it was just now, but those things were built as symbols of hate from the start.

Notice that it shot itself on the foot using tools it did not understand.

Spur4383,

I dislike the new one plus software. It got too close to oppo. That said, while I like my pixel 7 pro, it never felt like a great phone, just a really good one. This can be both a pro and a con. Nothing annoys me about it, but nothing wows me either.

What movies, books or tv shows are meant to spoof/parody a particular genre while actually being a great example of the genre?

The 3 that come to mind for me are Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The Princess Bride. All three are poking fun at their respective genres but also are great examples of the genre. I’m curious if Lemmy has other such examples.

On that vein: Galaxy Quest
