Happy to share that today I received the Instructional Innovator of the Year trophy at Morgan State University.

I guess my work with virtual language exchanges and open educational resources have also contributed to this award.

I am excited about it as this is only my third year at Morgan. I wanted to share my happiness with you. #academia @academicchatter #OER #VirtualExchange

Halfway through day 22 of my Advent painting (big) honeycombs shawl. It starts wide and gets narrower which means each row is shorter (yay) so right now I am doing 2 rows of honeycombs per day (see orange honeycomb row at the top) and then the last 2 days will be three rows of honeycombs each. #knitting #FiberArts @knitting @fiberarts

I’m pretty pleased with my progress as I (finally) dedicate time to learn the continental knitting style. Knitting is picking up speed but I have a really tough time maintaining proper tension in the yarn in my left hand when I do the Norwegian purl stitch. Any advice? I loop the yarn over my middle finger and feed it in over my forefinger.

On a side note, its been funny to watch my right hand forefinger reach out towards the yarn whenever I get confused! 😆

The Israeli government has been trying to reclaim historical artefacts from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida for MONTHS after he was lent them for a Chanukah party.

Among the antiquities are ancient ceramic oil lamps, which are part of Israel’s "national treasures" collection. The Chanukah lamps were sent to the US in 2019 for a festive event attended by Donald Trump and millionaire Saul Fox, who is a major donor to the Israeli Antiquities Authority.
