Yeah, I don’t think it would be a huge platform with every song but it would be nice to know if they have something like that out there,

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thank you, I will check this out. Yeah I didn’t know if it would work fully like Spotify or some other way as currently, the Fediverse doesn’t have a fully paid way yet.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks I’ll check it out.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah that’s completely fair enough, they do have some good suggestions and I guess it is the way people discover artists these days.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I believe it would have to be more the artists wanting to publish there music on the platform, as letting people ‘borrow’ your music will quickly get to a cease and desist. So it would be more of a platform for artists to be able to publish there music and podcasts that is open for anyone to create there own instance from the source code such as Mastodon does for the Micro-Bloggers, It would mean artists control there music but also can release it to the public to listen too, the only main problem I can see is money, the main thing I can see across the whole Fediverse is money tbh, like who pays for the servers and stuff, where do they get that money from and how does that effect the Fediverse. Really do hope we get a PeerTube like thing for Music but maybe in the future.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah that’s a fair point, I sometimes forget RSS feeds are a thing.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks will look into it as soon as I can as it looks kind of cool

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I didn’t know if having to many posts would just be really bad if you had say 2 comments to 100 posts or something. It’s just a curious question tbh

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Sort of yeah, just if there’s still engagement in comments, how much comments to posts would make sense to be a ‘successful’ account in most peoples eyes or at least trustworthy.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Fair enough

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks that’s good to know, I’ll try and keep active as much as possible to get more and more out there over time <3

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I guess the golden ratio works lol

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks, never thought of it that way.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Fair enough, I was just trying to ask a question of what sort of ratio is a goodish ratio but I understand where your coming from, Thank you.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Sounds like an interesting ratio, I’ll have to see if I can get it to 5.243 for a while.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah from what I’ve seen we haven’t worked that out yet, especially as it will change over time and I believe that we are higher on comments than posts as of the moment with most people’s ratio.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, It’s good to see that people really want to push a community to grow.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

That sounds amazing, is the hope to slowly remove your old Reddit account or just leaving it and moving over to Lemmy / Kbin?

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Scraping the old content is not a bad idea knowing that the information can be on a place that you might feel is better for the long run makes sense, But makes sense that you wouldn’t want to spend so much time moving every little bit across.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Ok, I can try my best.

I’m intrested in knowing what people think a good ratio of Post to Comments are on a Profile, like what would be a good standard / possibly amazing looking profile have for Post:Comments

I hope that explains it, I’ll edit the post now

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks, Guess we need to grow our Gaming community more on the platform. Maybe I’ll try and contribute to the current games I’m playing and find the communities for them.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Those are both fair points as people seem to just want to go with what they know as it’s easier. I know I’m having a hard time getting my partner to move across to Lemmy from Reddit knowing she uses Reddit on a daily basis.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah that is a fair point, hopefully as it seems like people on Lemmy & Kbin are more active than Reddit users, we should hopefully see these communities grow a lot more to the point of passing Reddit numbers.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah I seem to get a lot of quick answers on here and they seem to be very good, reddit still has good answers but are normally slower on the active answering compared to Lemmy / Kbin

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Sorry your productivity is down but amazing you find it so helpful and glad you enjoy it.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, just found a GTAV community, Great that I could join it but sadly there’s only like 4 posts in there at the moment.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah really do hope the usefulness and content grows so much more on here as it would be great to see people start using it for answers like reddit is used for.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I’ll try my best.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

That’s a good thing as long as it stays the same in the way of helpfulness and non-toxicity as well as keeps itself in the Fediverse.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I really do hope so as I haven’t seen many people from certain subs / communities move across yet. I even got downvoted on Reddit for even mentioning the Fediverse on my Local Sub.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah 20 years worth of content helps, I really do hope we end up with it all on here and people prefer using Kbin / Lemmy in the future.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Thank you, I never saw this one when I was searching for communities, I’ll keep an eye on there community to see if people prefer using that one as ATM there’s no posts on the community.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, I’ll keep on looking to see if there’s any communities for these sorts of games as would love to talk to people about them, even if it is just the larger based games

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Good to keep in mind, I will most likely be putting a post my own community to say to go to the other one

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

That’s a great idea as would love to make it grow further

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Amazing to see there is some communities to try and do this, Thank you for the links.

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

Congrats, I hope you enjoy Lemmy and the Fediverse

SamXavia,
@SamXavia@lemmy.world avatar

I just sometimes browse it, that and I use it when things like Uber Eats and other services seem to not work as companies seem to get back to so much quicker on there than any ‘help service’. I’ve posted way more on Mastodon than ever on Twitter. So not really much keeping me about tbh just want to be able to see things such as Minecraft info or sometimes put out a thought. Also some of my contacts only speak through Twitter as of the moment.
