So, pi involves measuring circles. In fact, just think of a pie. It's a circle, right? There you go. The observable universe is the size of forty of those circles (or pies, shortened to "pi"). The size of it all just blows your mind. As for the hydrogen atom, single atoms are tiny, so you can safely ignore it.

metaStatic,

We're closer in scale to the observable universe than a single hydrogen atom if that's any help.

If you need a printer, spend a little extra money on one that is actually used in an office. A nice mid-range laser printer is relatively cheap. They don't come with the subscription bullshit, they usually work over LAN if that's a thing you want, and generally Just Work™.

Consumer inkjet printers are cheap for a reason. If you need a printer, get one that won't give you endless headaches.

Igotz80HDnImWinning,

What was really stolen was our thoughts, ideas, and memories. They think they own it and can sell it back to us.

The AI genie is here. What we're deciding now is whether we all have access to it, or whether it's a privilege afforded only to rich people, corporations, and governments. (kbin.social)

I know a lot of people want to interpret copyright law so that allowing a machine to learn concepts from a copyrighted work is copyright infringement, but I think what people will need to consider is that all that's going to do is keep AI out of the hands of regular people and place it specifically in the hands of people and...

nottheengineer,

Agreed. The AI is rolling already, we can’t stop it now. All we can do is make sure that this technology benefits everyone, not just coroprations.

Decimit,

So many games are released in a broken state and require online updates, even with the physical media in the future the game could be unplayable.

Ginjutsu,

This is why emulation is so important. Media must be preserved.

voodooattack,

Copyright on software should end once it’s no longer commercially available for purchase.

Taxpayers spent over $1 Trillion on the PPP program, of which, $200 billion is thought to be fraudulent. Another case of only corporations get socialism in the US.

Already rich people get 1.7trillion in tax cuts: crickets

Former middle class Americans get 400bil one time payment: oh fuck no

Thats quite a precedent. The president doesnt have discretion about his own department of education. Thats a complete undermining of the entire executive branch if its no longer able to make decisions about the executive branch.

"Antiwoke" magazin on kbin.social posting bullshit like "how to end Wokeness" and "Time to reject the extrem trans lobby harming our society" How to report ? he is the moderator of that magazin. (calckey.social)

@ernest how do I report a Magazin on kbin.social ? There is a usere called "ps" who is posting to his own "antiwoke" Magazin on kbin.social. Please remove this and dont give them a chance to etablish them self on kbin.social. When I report his stuff it will go to him because he is the moderator of the magazin? Seems like a...

I just need a little more time. There will likely be a technical break announced tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Along with the migration to new servers, we will be introducing new moderation tools that I am currently working on and testing (I had it planned for a bit later in my roadmap). Then, I will address your reports and handle them very seriously. I try my best to delete sensitive content, but with the current workload and ongoing relocation, it takes a lot of time. I am being extra cautious now. The regulations are quite general, and I would like to refine them together with you and do everything properly. For now, please make use of the option to block the magazine/author.
