Lack of patience and/or unwillingness to learn are what I see as the primary challenges to Linux adoption, and it can be addressed by leaving those kind of people to their own devices.
I’m not sure what you mean by “tanky instances” and haven’t heard of the defederating that you’re referring to. Could you link me some info about it? Everything I’m finding says that the main lemmy instances are run by “tankies,” which is apparently a pejorative term for communists.
That’s fair, and you’re right: there’s no way to do it any other way if the forum is beholden to legal liability. I just happened into the wrong tavern and will now excuse myself.
Sooo… basically this is just a Hasbro advertisement board? What’s the point of decentralized message boards anyway? No corporation owns something I build with my own time and energy, and Hasbro’s “ownership” of DnD is an insult to anyone who loves the game. We’re not the pirates. They are.
