Source: my dad. He was in the Air Force, and once worked in a giant aircraft hangar that was big enough to accommodate an airship. He told me that the hangar had its own “weather”, and conditions inside the hangar were announced like weather forecasts.
That was only one hangar. Even though it was uncommonly large, it wasn’t nearly as big a city block.
On an unrelated note, I wonder how long it would take the inside of the dome to get filthy from things like exhaust.
This is an incredibly uncomfortable thing for me (a CIS male) to think about - how alien it must feel to have been born with a body that doesn’t match your gender identity. I can only imagine it as an “out of place” feeling that never goes away.
Anyone who has to live like that deserves all the empathy I am capable of, and that’s why I think that chipping away at trans rights is utterly reprehensible.
It’s a really good thing that I’m not President. I have NO patience for this shit. Stopping Ukraine’s food shipments is simply unacceptable. I would have sent the Navy into the Black Sea by now, and possibly started a war with Turkey if they tried to stop the ships.
“And a hearty fuck you to the dregs of digital society who do real harm and believe themselves above responsibility, beyond accountability. You aren’t.”
I don’t listen to tech podcasts at all, but now that you mention it, the concept seems odd to me, too. Tech involves objective facts, scientific reasoning, and logic, which are three things I definitely don’t associate with modern conservatism.
Health Canada says it has already rejected one licence application to produce FMT at Klop’s Chilliwack facility, citing a long list of quality control and sanitation problems.
What? A quack who wants to sell shit pills has issues with quality control and sanitation? I DON’T BELIEVE IT.
I usually like Pixar, but I haven’t seen the movie. From the commercials, I thought it looked like a boring, generic, fish-out-of-water/“opposites attract” type story that’s tired, unoriginal, and overdone. Sure, it would be animated well, because Pixar, but ugh. No thanks.
It’s good to know that the movie is better than the marketing suggests. Now I think I’ll actually give it a chance!
