I can’t get on board with “all your offspring”. Some of the worst violators of human rights do that, like China, Russia, and North Korea. It is never fair to hold children accountable for the wrongs of their parents.

I had to remove Huffington Post on my desktop Apple News feed. Advertorials have been the bulk of their pushed content. I looked today, and the eight articles that were pinned at the top of the app were all advertisements.
I’m pretty liberal, but I don’t let myself read HuffPo. I suspect they’ll just tell me what I want to hear, or what they’ve decided today’s target of outrage is supposed to be. When I want news, I want news, not a comforting echo chamber.
I can’t say I “trust” the AP, either, but I prefer them because they’re more neutral. Licensing content is their main source of their revenue, so it’s in their best interest to be accurate and try to keep bias to a minimum. Of course, any corporate backed or for-profit news organization is going to be biased to some degree, but I think the AP is about the best we can do.
