No kidding. Saw a news story a week or so ago where they were holding a celebration of life ceremony for a tree. Felt like the old Austin there for a minute.
Maybe Crowdstrike? I know I see it on our linux machines. I am not endorsing it one way or the other. I will say that we have had a couple of incidents where I thought it was taking up more cpu in a high cpu situation, but our admins turned it off, and that wasn’t the problem. So I guess it’s working ok. One of their updates caused some issues one time, and I don’t recall the exact details, but I think that was a one off and they haven’t done it again.
Here’s the fucked up part. We were all told to NOT make the payments. Well in hindsight, that was a bad idea, because I could have almost paid off my loans interest free. Now I go back to owing $10K+ and will have to pay interest on it. This whole situation is really shitty for everyone.
I really hope the FAA pulls his license over this shit. His daddy owns the helicopter so this is just some entitled asshole, who I hope gets to sit in traffic with the rest of us soon.
