@forpeterssake@bookstodon I kept in mind that it's a novel Austen didn't finish so S1 was not going to be as Austen-esque as I wanted. BUT, taking Austen out of the picture, and thinking of it as just a period piece, I really enjoyed it!

They don't have the triangle reveal clipped, but it's "Wizard of Oz" classic. Nobody ever bit off 'it was all a dream'. "Go's" triangle is that great. Here's two of the 3:
@ExcessivelyDiverting@bookstodon I love Lord of the Rings, but I wouldn't say the love story is a big part of it. Beren and Luthien maybe. Surprised Shrek didn't make the cut!
Seriously, though, I would include Odysseus and Penelope.
