If you aren't specifically worried about converting statblocks and mechanics but just porting the general story over, you can take the characters and plot points from any system really.
Not sure if this is a joke or a legitimate question. I'm on a Kbin fork, not Lemmy, so not sure if you get the rabbit preview picture.
If it was a legit question… it's the "boring fur balls". If it was Playboy Bunnies there'd probably be a lot more stuff about "sexy" and "lady" or "woman" in my description, and nothing about "owners" because I'm not sure Playboy goes to that level of kink. Wouldn't actually know, I'm a woman with no sexual interest in other women, so I've never looked.
I actually did use sub.rehab when first coming here, although it may not be obvious by my account history because this is a third account (migrated from kbin.social to kbin.cafe to help out with decentralization/not overloading the big server, now I'm on kbin.run because the instance owner of kbin.cafe disappeared). Searching again today gives only a Squabble link when I look for r/rabbits or r/bunnies alternatives. I can do nothing to fix this because submitting links is currently disabled.
This is the first I'm hearing about Lemmy Explorer, possibly because I'm a Kbin (well, now Mbin, a Kbin fork, because my instance owner swapped to that. Currently trying to find a small instance with an active owner that still runs Kbin, so not the big flagship kbin.social) user. Thank you for sharing.
I’m having trouble with drowned not spawning from a spawner I suspect due to y level requirements. I had a look online but couldnt find any blockdata about spawning requirements. Is it possible? If not is there a fabric 1.20.1 mod that will let me do the same thing?
I just looked up Gilded Shadows thanks to your post! Unfortunately the artstyle is not appealing to me. I hope you have fun with it. Curious if the character customization is something you enjoy—it is something BG3 has too.
Also, this comment made me realize I forgot to post the weekly Wednesday post for this week! Oops.
I thought Neon Mafia had MC as a mafia boss. I really hope that's true and that she doesn't turn into a distressed damsel. Great news for otome in general that three new games are coming out but from my best guesses at what the games are about, I'm not too excited for these.
Finished Halloween Otome on Halloween day! Took about four hours. Has mini games, including a 15 puzzle. I found all the minigames easy except the 15 puzzle, which I gave up on and just looked up the solution to. I did not find any of the guys that compelling, but that might just be a personal preference thing. I did like the MC.
I will report that for those who don’t like horror, there’s a scary segment that’s scary on the level of Disney Channel scary movies. I cannot handle horror and I was totally fine with this. In that segment, there IS blood on the walls but in at least one route the characters clearly mention it was acquired at a butcher’s.
Don’t try this at home, bunnies getting their whole bodies wet can make them very sick (they can’t really warm back up fast enough, and all that bunny fur also prevents them from drying off easily) or stressed to the point they go into shock. There are some special exceptions where you can shower/bathe a bunny and the...
Thought this was pretty interesting, especially in how a West Marches campaign can deal with the problems of having more players interested in a game than you can accommodate at the table, and the dreaded specter of scheduling issues. Might try to run one myself at some point!
Are we still going to use foxnews on Lemmy and Kbin, or should we all be moving to Mastodon? Also not sure if foxnews can continue to live there, given the instance is intended for actual money-making brands to use and explicitly has that in their rules. They might figure out we’re not the politics network and ban the account.
It’s a puzzle game, the kind where you choose a direction and you keep moving in that direction until you hit a wall. Then you choose another direction, keep moving in that direction until you hit a wall, and so on.
One of my favorite HFY series from r/HFY. It’s urban fantasy mixed with slice of life. The author has since moved off Reddit and is now posting it on the Royal Road website!
The link works for me on mobile, what are you seeing?
It is a website that hosts mostly original fiction, though some fanfic is on it too. It is also listed on the HFY subreddit About Community page/sidebar, next to “Alternate Hosting”.

Taking a break from long otome, so I’m probably going to play some short stuff on I saved as “play later” on my itch.io collection. But once I finish the break, the next thing on my backlog is either Variable Barricade or Piofiore, can’t pick between them....
Honestly, making these posts is somewhat motivating me to play more otome instead of just reading about them and the like on the Fediverse, but the closest thing I did to playing an otome this week is adding more games to my backlog, whoops. Maybe I’ll come back and edit this comment if I play something today!
I usually see the “love is useless, I am a supreme logical being” mindset on LIs. I’m interested in Subject: Love because it seems to be the mindset of the MC. And oh boy is it going to be fun reading from her perspective.
Emberfate simulates being an MMORPG guild leader to some extent, not quite sure how far it goes into that. Always thought MMORPGs might be fun but I’ve personally kept away from them because I have no interest in some 13-year-old spamming slurs at me because I made one mistake in a raid, and I know that I’d probably get horribly addicted. So the MMORPG aspect attracts me here because it seems like I’ll get all the fun parts of an MMO without having to deal with the nasty parts that keep me away from them in real life. There are also LIs—it is tagged otome, after all.
Added a lot more than just these two, but they’re the ones that seem like they might appeal to me the most.
Didn’t delete on my instance, kbin.run, which is actually running Mbin. So I viewed it on lemmy.sdf.org to make sure it wasn’t just an Mbin bug, and I actually still see this post, hence my ability to comment on it to complain about it not being deleted lol
I don’t have any such games, but I know that Stardew Valley is a game that’s pretty divisive with regards to how cozy it is. The vibes the graphics and music give off are cozy, but I know that for some the gameplay can be stressful even if they consciously try not to minmax.
I also don't think I can hammer down what cozy games are, I just know I like or am interested in a lot of the games that attract that label. I tend to not find time management stressful at all which is why I personally see Stardew Valley as cozy. Meanwhile, I haven't played anything in the Persona series but the aesthetics I get from the screenshots I have seen make me personally find Persona to not be cozy at all.
There was a thread awhile back attempting to start a discussion about what exactly a cozy game is that you might be interested in!

I love trying a bunch of itch.io games. Not sure why the sub focuses mostly on Japanese ones. I also haven't played in awhile, life is busy. Even resorted to trying a mobile game (Ikemen Vampire) despite my own impatience for mobile monetization just to play some. Gave up because I quickly lost my tolerance for the mobile energy mechanics and general "slow down the player's progress so they pay to hurtle past or outright remove the barriers to the bulk of the gameplay" mechanics.
A lot of otome enjoyers on Discord servers have also gotten into BG3 and sunk significant time into it, so you're not alone. I enjoyed what I played of it on a friend's computer!
I found a lot of the Discord servers by prowling the r/otomegames self-promotion Sunday threads and asking around within those Discord servers for more servers (provided doing so was allowed).
