On a side note, i always hated how everybody is attacking the zuck for being weird while he’s obviously on the spectrum. He may be evil and immoral but being very awkward isn’t a choice he made. Same shit with Chris chan, the dude is extremely mentally instable, been bullied his entire life, blackmailed to do humiliating things, some on camera and emotionally abused by narcissistic psychopath and even the despicable act he committed was i believe suggested by the bullies that harassed him. What he did is sickening and unacceptable but he’s still a mentally ill person and he’s a much as victim. The dude needed to see a psychiatrist and administered heavy medications not become the literal toy of psychopaths.

The protests are for police brutality against Minorities. Apparently the shot 17 years old kid was repeatedly hit with back of the gun which made him moves his leg away from the breaks and since it’s an automatic the car started moving forward…the rest is history.

Neo-launcher looks pretty close to nova launcher. It just needs the recently installed/updated / frequently used tabs on the search panel and it’ll be the best. Sadly , the devs seems to have lost interest and haven’t update it since 2022.

Ublock origin blocked so many malware sites. In fact privacy = safety.

When grandpa get pop-up spams on his phone/computer slowing it to a crawl or is asked to put his Facebook /bank account info because he may have won an iPhone. These are the most widespread viruses and are mostly caused by ads. Extensions like ublock origin get rid of ads and malicious scam links like these so grandpa don’t get his life savings siphoned.

Plus , Ads often hijack the website using forced redirection , blocking you from exiting with endless notification prompt and pop-ups and even if you know how to deal with them, it’s still hard to do because they’re programmed to fight back any attempt to exit them so it’s miles easier to just use an adblock.

As I understand that front end is privacy oriented and is not down (I just checked r/ukrainewarvideoreport) since it doesn’t use the OAuth tokens, or is it the other way around? Anyway, whats the federanus stance on that one? Its slow as hell but I still check in from time to time to keep in the loop. What’s you guys take on...

They don’t relay on reddit API. They have their own unofficial API. ✊

I never had a Twitter account and never will. At most, I viewed some tweets I found online, be it from reddit or somewhere else. Recently I discovered and started to use Quacker (use nitter to view tweeter without having an account ) to follow the few people I found interesting : Serenity os + ladybird dev Andreas kling, Fear&Hunger dev happy_paintings aka orange, dwarffortress devs and lastly Anna’s archive. I want interesting people to follow, read their ideas and be inspired by their work . I don’t want to read first world problems while everything in my country increased it’s cost from x3 to x10 in a span of 5 years. If mastodon is supposed to be a chain of complaints why would I care even using it.
