Nothing Chats has already been pulled from Google Play over privacy issues / Nothing pulled the Nothing Chats beta from the Google Play store “until further notice” after reports that Sunbird sends messages in plain text.
What would you guys recommend for a service to use to verify phone numbers for platforms, on topic, such as gitlab? I know there is some sort of list of voip service providers that most of these platforms blacklist. Where do they get such lists from and how can one view such lists?
It’s a well-known fact that Google spies on users, which isn’t anything new. However, the fact that they are now using this as a reference in a marketing meme is insulting....
Thx for showing me that. I had no idea. Still to me, someone who lives on the other side of the world opposite of America, to see the phrase “I spy… Do you…” From Google felt a lot like, well, my post says it all.
Those guys r dicks. I posted a comment in there Lemmy community to share my honest opinion and it was removed. But I don’t know why, who did that or even how find out.
What does that mean? Their post is still showing here? Kind of completely new to this platform. It’s so intriguing and alive. I don’t think I’m going to miss reddit one bit.
I guess with meta(sh*t) trying to extort their user base for a monthly subscription service fee just for privacy in the eu, paying for a search engine could make sense…
