Cossty, to privacy in Fairphone 4 is making hundreds of unwanted connections per day, to the same addresses.

Thx for very detailed reply. I was trying to do the option 1, but I couldnt find how to do that. https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/729fac33-5a97-48b9-a644-9be1abf822f7.pnghttps://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/40752fc6-2534-4106-b8d6-b3dce9542807.pnghttps://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/a559e906-af2b-4ef3-a29a-b2a086d52bba.pngI am guesing that because dns is blocking the requests they dont show in the app. That would mean the app and dns are doing the same thing, so it doesnt really help.

I might just allow them, because I need the gps to work properly.

As far as I know it is still being developed.

I use gps a lot, I don’t think turning it off is an option then, I will just have to allow it and live with this.

I am kind of new to all these privacy things. So what do you exactly mean by getting rid of this problem? I have DNS which blocks these connections but phone is still making them. How can I make the phone stop doing that?

Ubuntu Touch is just a linux distro for your phone. I actually haven’t used it yet, but according to their website, the Fairphone 4 has really good support. So I might try it.

I actually wanted to get a Fairphone 3 because of headphone jack but I got really good deal on a Fairphone 4 so I took it instead.

Android is so troublesome, I am tempted to just install Ubuntu Touch and be done with this.

How do you deal with this? Or are you using iPhone or something else?

Yeah, When I saw her in the trailer I was done with the movie. I will just watch Pitch Meeting instead.

Cossty, to linux in Bottles Next: A New Chapter ⋅ Bottles

I had more luck using steam. Adding installer or exe as non steam game. There was only one game that did not work and worked on bottles/lutris. There was a lot more that worked on steam and didnt work on bottles/lutris. And I feel it is a lot less complicated. You just add the game and change comp. settings to proton and thats it. If it was installer, you add the new exe to the steam or edit shortcut.

Cossty, to games in FTC fails to redact Microsoft document, revealing an old Bethesda release schedule

Aren’t those remasters like Oblivion and Fallout 3 outsourced to some differnt studio, which is using Unreal engine for them? It won’t be very moddable then.

I will just wait for Skyblivion.

Cossty, (edited ) to baldurs_gate_3 in Baldur’s Gate 3 fans have created their own ad-free wiki

There is wiki.gg

Pretty good wiki, a lot of indies use it. For example: Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic, Terraria, ARK, Cuphead, Don’t Starve, Brotato, Binding of Issac, Satisfactory etc.

Some AAA games are there too. Like Sea of Thieves, Dying Light.

It would be cool if there was some wiki with ActivityPub.

Same, Cosmic looks very promising. I’m looking for Budgie 11 too, that could be something good.

Cossty, (edited ) to steamdeck in I just got my steam deck RMAed after 1.5 years. Guess what was the first thing I did when It turned on.

Yep, the same thing, but I think it was something with the GPU. It was always at 100% and ±230 MHz. When I turned on “Manual GPU Clock Control”, but let the slider at 1600 MHz, GPU clock went up, but GPU utilization went down.
