Good point, I suppose more accurately I am convinced he won’t publish any more in the main ASOIAF storyline. If I’m wrong I get to be pleasantly surprised.
I’d love to be wrong here but I’m convinced that man is going to his grave without writing another word for it. Which is fair, he’s written over 1.7 million words in ASOIAF according to Wikipedia.
It’s based on Game of Thrones, The Wall is 700 feet high and protects the Seven Kingdoms from the Others. Castle Black is the headquarters of the The Night’s Watch, the group charged with patrolling the wall.
I’ve never watched the show, but the books are great and I’ve been reading through them for the first time recently. Just know before you get into it that the author very notoriously hasn’t finished the series in like… 20 years, haha. There are 2 more planned books but the last came out in 2011.
It took YEARS for me to get Google Maps to correct the location of a local bus stop. It showed up on the wrong street, which screwed up walking directions. They finally fixed it when I submitted a photo of the bus stop along with my report, even though it’s exactly what you see if you check the recently updated street view in the exact location I had been submitting error reports. 🤷♂️
“Mutilation of minors” is an emotional term and not a legal or scientific one, if you mean gender transition or circumcision just say it. And I’m pretty sure nonconsentual “mutilation” of any adult is already illegal.
