Hey all! Here for my #introduction, I'm new to this instance, but not to Fedi.
I'm Ashkenazi, my parents and I belonged to a Reform temple growing up. I currently am a member of a non-denominational synagogue near me that has conservative roots. Most of social media online is antisemitic and exhausting. Happy to see a Jewish server on here and have been meaning to join for a while.
Still seeking decent sources of bagels near me as a New York-to-Boston transplant, have been ordering bagels as gifts for my equally transplanted parents straight from NYC. Goldbelly has saved us all. I did manage to find a very good Jewish deli near me whose bagels are pretty tasty, although not quite the same.

Table-top role-playing games, and entertaining books of knowledge, secrets, & pop-ups can entertain kids of many ages for the holidays, but... be cautious with the fancier books, to keep them in good order.
This is one of my favorite Star Wars books. I’ve always liked the way Michael Stackpole writes. In this book we can also see how the next generation of Skywalker is equally powerful, but not invincible. It’s worth it. #starwars#thenewjediorder#swnjo#eu#legends@bookstodon
@poetry THE POETRY OF STAR WARS. Emperor Palpatine's Speech to the Senate in STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH is written in 9 enclosed quatrains where there's a rhymed couplet sandwiched in between an unrhymed couplet. So the rhyme scheme is this: abbc, deef, ghhi, etc...If I were to perform this poem, I would speak the rhymed lines with great volume and tone than the unrhymed lines and put a brief pause between each stanza. #poetry#starwars#StarWarsTheBadBatch http://jamesivan.poetry.blog/2023/08/26/star-wars-emperor-palpatine-speaks-to-the-senate/
