99% of children’s books in a chain bookstore are garbage. It took me 15 minutes to find these for my great niece.

Earlier this spring my kid picked out yarn and declared that he wanted a "meat hat" -- after many questions it sounded like he wanted a hat with some kind of Minecraft meat icons on it, and maybe some other stuff. He's stayed firm that "meat hat" needs to be a thing for months, so I'm knitting up the brim now and tomorrow I'll nail down his design vision further. 🍖🎩

"Weird Parenting Wins" & "Your Child's Destiny–A Numerology Guide for Parents" are intriguing, but aren't the most interesting looking books. So, the background I've added is a composite of the Addams Family's & the Munster's houses. Talk about weird parenting!

Park knitting while my kid gets extra wet and sandy in the rain. This sock might actually get finished before the end of after all.

Do you still read aloud to your teenager? I do! I tell the story of how this came about in an essay in Motherwell Magazine: "Why it's important to read to our teenagers aloud"

Credit to engineering, I’m impressed this still works and didn’t even crack the screen.

We think my son must have stepped on it at some point.
