Mass Effect (2007): The Citadel, unused concept by Derek Watts
I love this design. I hope it will be recycled in the next Mass Effect game, which has been in production for several years, and on which Derek Watts, original Art Director on the Mass Effect trilogy, is working.

We all know that are fun, but can they:

Make you cry?

Tell you a powerful love story?

Make you think differently about war? About the environment? About your own choices?

This examines the relationship between gaming and storytelling:

Some games can do all those things.

The problem is that these days, game developer executives see games as nothing more than a vehicle for sleazy microtransactions, so fewer and fewer games are going to truly challenge and move us the way only art can.

@thevglibrary @bookstodon one of my goals for my game Slartboz is to have scenes and situations in it that make the player cry

in a good way
