The Euro €, conveying trust for more than 20 years!
We asked your views about our common currency. And here are some highlights:
💶 79% of respondents living in the euro area think that having the euro is a good thing for the EU. 🇸🇰 stands out with 90% and 🇫🇮 with 88%.
💶 69% think that having the euro is good for their country.
The #Euro has become an enduring symbol of European unity and integration since 2002.
It happened with the mail; it may happen soon with money.
We welcome the political agreement reached by the EU Council and the European Parliament on our proposal to make instant payments in euros available to all #EU citizens and businesses at no extra cost.
The new rules will also increase trust in #euro instant payments and make sanctions screening more efficient.

@EU_Commission Ideally, every #banknote would bear my portrait. I’d be wearing an impressive crown and a very dignified look. There would be no name, so nobody knows it’s me. People would be like: ‘Who IS this guy?’ and ‘The king?’ and ‘We don’t even have no bloody king!’ and ‘Hey, that’s a double negative!’ Sometimes people would recognise me and ask: ‘Hey, aren’t you the #Euro guy?’ ‘No’, I’d answer, ‘but I hear that a lot.’
