I use #Linux as the main OS on my computers, but also use Windows 10 on one.
For the sole reason to download the #ebooks I buy.
I play the occasional Windows-only game as well, but those I can do without.
I can't do without ebooks.
I really, really wish there was an open standard for getting any ebook, with or without #drm, onto any device without having to rely on a single piece of software from one company. #EU, do something! #DailyRant#PetPeeve#ADE#AdobeDigitalEditions
I've managed to find a solution that works for me for when I have no option but to buy an #ebook that has #DRM. I use #calibre with a "deacsm" plugin that strips the DRM. I now no longer have to boot up my ancient laptop, the only system I have that is not running linux.

Alors, certes, les premiers "voleurs", c'est certains des intermédiaires qui font qu'un auteur ne touche que 70 centimes sur un bouquin à 8 euros, mais il n'en reste pas moins qu'il faut être un sacré trou du cul individualiste pour voler aux auteurs les 70 centimes qu'il leur reste en se faisant passer pour un justicier anticapitaliste.
Ni. 1. (livre physique) ni 2. (#epub avec #DRM via une multinationale) ne me conviennent pleinement, mais pour les livres récents soumis au droit d'auteur je choisis 1, je veux pouvoir faire circuler les livres.
Existe-t-il une option pour acheter un epub sans DRM de façon à rémunérer au max l'auteur, et à ne pas engraisser une multinationale ? Un genre d'auto-édition ou d'édition collaborative en epub ?

Since it seems #Google has decided to uni-laterally force through their new anti-#adblock#DRM euphemistically named "Web environment integrity", I decided to add a little bit of code to my website that blanks out the page and displays a protest message with a link to the firefox download page when you visit it from a browser with this DRM feature.
