Wow this is my last wishlist Wednesday. After this no more begging for wishlists for Somnipathy. End of a era off me, that for sure. Next Wednesday I'm sure to be knee deep in enough bugs to make me regret ever doing #gamedev, but this week... Just polish and testing.
This #wishlistwednesday, take a look at our finalized #uiuxdesign ! Its a little thing, but you interact with a UI a lot, so its important it looks nice and works smoothly!
Our UI person (that we are SO lucky to have) has been working overtime making things actually consistent and removing the many place holders. Its crazy how many little things you get used to during #gamedev, and how a little polish goes a long way.
Friend and I have picked up on Lara Croft and the Guardian Light again! We made it past The Toxic Swamp tonight. I forgot how much fun this game was! Even after a decade this holds up in 4K.
#screenshotsaturday what have you guys been working on all week? This week has been fixing bugs a streamer found for us, so not much new new to show. Next up is font and UI fixes!
@duke_of_germany Our artists are talented, but we all chip in and so we use alot of different tools. 7 of us total, with probably 4 'main' people doing most things.
Most of the pixel art is done with #aseprite (https://www.aseprite.org/). We non-artist types also use it for quick touch ups that don't require bugging our creatives.
That said it seems development has all but ended on it. I'm hunting for another program that 'understands' the concept of tiles, but as far as I can tell its pretty unique in that space.
