#NaNoWriMo Day 5. Don't Mess With the #Writer 😈

The day before I decided to take a break and trim my trees, so I did! 💪🏻😄 A meditative exercise, I tell you. While pruning, I thought about the plot development of my #scifi book The Closed Tunnel.

Can I brag? Not only am I writing a book, but I have pomegranates in the garden 😂

Key takeaway: writing a #book is not always typing on a keyboard. 80% of the time, the story is born in your head.

Have a great week, everyone! 🫶🏻

#nanowrimo Day 4 was a little tough. I felt exhausted, but I continued with my writing with the idea of taking a break the next day...

#NaNoWriMo Day 3.

I wrote my #scifi The Closed Tunnel until midnight. When I came out of the café, I saw a truck crossing the street... and it started to rain...

Sign? 👀 Nah, just autumn😄

Day 2 of my was quite productive. After a hard first day of writing & researching for my book The Closed Tunnel, I was able to write freely based on the curated material.

I suppose is one of the hardest parts of creating . I don't trust the first or even the fourth source I see on the web. My background in physics and the industry helps me to at least have an idea if an article is crap or not. 😄 @scifi @bookstodon

This year I am participating in and decided to use something said to me as a prompt for a scene.

Spouse: “I was worried about you. You’re never that still. The only time you’re that still is when something is very wrong. I didn’t realize how much you moved until you stopped.” And they were right.

Have you ever been told something similar?

I usually have one writing book in my reading rotation. They vary based on what I need & the state of my writing. My reaction to Pressfield's The War of Art is always the most telling.

As a freelance writer pre-grad school, it resonated deeply. I needed that "get over yourself & get to work" message.

But during other periods, I'm really turned off by it. That usually means I need to slow down, think through tough ideas, and/or seek out guidance.

As a full-time-selfpublisher, I actually have every month but I cross my Fingers for all participants and think, this is a great opportunity to challenge, to learn and to come together. Good luck and motivation to all. 🚀

Good luck to anyone starting their novel today! Personally I'll be trying to finish the one I started last year. Let Operation Finish A Thing begin...

It's two weeks until writing month! What's everyones plans for AcWriMo and NaNoWriMo?
I'm planning to write an 8,000-word chapter, re-write a book entry that will be published in 24, and attend writing retreats.

Any recommendations for apps to track my writing?

Academics, writers, editors, and everyone else who puts pen to paper, what are your goals?

isn't a good month choice, imvho.
It's the month and many writers are dedicated to write.
Much better December or, at least October
