The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. You are a pilot who crash lands in a desert, where you meet an alien child who lives on his own asteroid and dispenses cryptic stories about his travels on earth and elsewhere. 3 of 5 library cats 🐈 🐈 🐈.
It started strong & there were things I really liked about it- especially aspects of the creature design. But it couldn't decide how/when to end, or what kind of movie it wanted to be. Still, definitely fun & worth a watch... Once.
I'll be curious as to what others think about this film.
Yesterday (September 10) was the 30th anniversary of The X-Files first airing -- in 1993. I was definitely watching (I was 13 and living in Maryland) with my family - we I watched every episode, every week (I believe until Mulder disappeared and they replaced him with Doggett)?
I would later meet my now wife, and I found out that she would watch it with her family too (she's just 9 years younger than I am)-- all the way across the country, in Tucson, Arizona!
We're both huge fans still- we recently rewatched the whole series again, start to finish (including all the Doggett episodes, which I now dig). And I could do it again!
The X-Files was wild in the 90s-- an amazing mix of the Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, straight up horror, and more. And its amazing crossover with the Simpsons was a treat, too.
I’m sticking with the theme of #Aliens today - with a celebration of V C Lancaster’s #OfficeAliens series: far into the future, aliens seek refuge on Earth. Some male aliens work in the Immigration department, and they find love!
I ❤️ the workplace romance trope!
There are 4 primary works, 4 novellas in this fab series. My faves:
The ET Guy
The Security Guy
Erotica author Lisabet Sarai is my blog guest today, with a guest post and an excerpt from her newest release, Bodies of Light. https://wp.me/p9O7pv-3nE
It is, but unsurprisingly, American culture usually works with this kind of plot in the same way real cops often do in America.
The very idea of cops starting a shootout doesn't leave much difference between Spacecops and Spacebandits.
Let's assume someone eventually calls the Spacecops to deal with Humans bothering the rest of the universe with radio.
Once they arrive and find out what we're really up to, what will they do?
