It is just an opinion article without any meaningful statistics from country fighting Russia.

BBC is sponsored be UK government.

It is nothing but propaganda from UK.

cuntonabike, (edited )

Tbh, that headline could just as well be about police in the UK.

JokeDeity,

People who work for the government of war criminals and they’re pigs? I think I’ll sleep just fine knowing they’re miserable.

zephyreks,

Honestly, I feel like people are going after the wrong issue.

Russia had a sudden uptick in people who’ve experienced violent combat. US history shows that these people are, on average, less stable and more violent than usual.

Crime enforcement is going down, but a large part of that is because crime is going up.

just_another_person,

Cool. If you can’t pay your thugs to be your mob, and your usual mob thugs are dead, what are you left with?

Well, he can’t threaten Russians with nukes… surely

History would say, yes he can.

Russia has some areas that are so polluted with radiactive waste, they will probably remain so far beyond mankins history on earth.

Directly dropping nukes on them, who knows, Tsar Bomba had a larger blast radius than they expected and while detonated in a low population area, Russia was never really concerned with making sure it was a no population area.

Revan343,

Russia was never really concerned with making sure it was a no population area

“It’s a no population area now” ~Russia, probably

maquise,

Hard to run a police state with no police?

rtxn,

Unfortunately, that’s when they bring in the famously well-behaved and rational military to supplement the police force.

Vilian,

they gonna need to learn necromancy to bring them

rtxn,

Or draft more civilians, more likely.

gravitas_deficiency,

With what spare troops, exactly? They’ve been sending any spare units they can find straight to the wood chipper that is the Ukraine war. The Russians don’t have any logistical flexibility to speak of at this point.
